China takes first place in terms of its share in the IMF

The International Monetary Fund to increase in their representation of developing countries. This decision was taken by the executive committee on the eve of the IMF summit of G20.

Now, according to the decision of the IMF, states with developing economies will get an additional 6% of the voting shares of the fund. This solution will enable China to move to 3 rd place in terms of its share in the IMF. The first and second place respectively, divided the U.S. and Japan. It is worth noting that the Republic of China has surpassed Germany, France and the UK. Also in the first ten members of the IMF entered Russia and Brazil. As of today, the International Monetary Fund is 187 countries.

It should be noted, the decision to expand the representation of developing countries must be approved by a vote by States outside the IMF. Solution to be approved, it must support two-thirds of the members of the unit.
