 	 e-Justice launched

EU Justice Commissioner Viviane Reding and Belgian Justice Minister Stefaan de Clerck today launched a new website called e-Justice.

The site gives information in all of the EU’s 22 languages about the 27 member states’ justice systems and how to find legal help when you need it, wherever you happen to be in the EU.

Project Manager Alexander Ivantchev said:
“One of the functionalities we provide is the ability to find a lawyer, regardless of the member state where people might need one: for example, we provide information here on the definition of a lawyer and a link to a tool to find a lawyer on a national level.”

So, if a rented holiday villa turns out to be unfinished, or a dress that was ordered by post is never delivered, or someone wants to set up a business abroad, now more than ever, EU citizens will know where to get information and, if necessary, a lawyer.
