The most significant increase was observed in subjects of postwar and contemporary art - sales were up 22%. Items sold in the postwar era 736 million pounds (879 million euros), while the Asian art objects implemented in 553 million pounds (660 million euros). Sales in this sector grew by 13%.

The most expensive item in the year - the picture "I can see the entire room ... but no one in it!" Roy Lichtenstein, established in 1961. The picture was sold at the auction in New York on November 8 for more than 27 million pounds (32 million euros).
