June 6-7, Brussels, on the Presidential Conference of the European Economic Chamber (EEIG), which was held simultaneously with the meeting of G7, an important event for Ukraine and other EEIG countries-participants was taken place. Mrs. Vaira Vike-Freiberga, former President of Latvia (1999-2007), a current President of the “Club de Madrid”, became President of the European Economic Chamber EEIG.
This event paves a way to significant perspectives of the realization of economic and social projects of Ukraine with the European Union. During the presidency of Mrs. Vaira Vike-Freiberga Latvia became a member of the EU. The representative office of the European Economic Chamber in Ukraine counts on the expertise and support of the new President of the Chamber in adapting of domestic businesses to the demands of the EU market, lobbying Ukrainian entrepreneurs in Western countries, assisting in attracting investment and technologies.
